Back to nature: Zepto to Swiggy Instamart, how quick-commerce firms are vrooming towards a green future

Updated: Jan 4

Quick commerce firms are increasingly prioritizing sustainability in their operations. From Zepto to Instamart, these companies are taking steps towards a greener future.

Zepto has recently launched an initiative to plant a tree for every delivery made through its platform. It is also exploring the use of electric bikes and vehicles for its deliveries.

Instamart, on the other hand, is focused on reducing plastic waste. Its new packaging is made from biodegradable materials, and it encourages customers to reuse it.

Other quick commerce firms, like Gorillas and Getir, have also committed to sustainability. Gorillas has pledged to become completely carbon-neutral by 2025, while Getir has partnered with a local NGO to reduce food waste.

These efforts towards sustainability benefit the environment and appeal to consumers who are becoming more conscious of their own impact. As quick commerce continues to grow, it's encouraging to see these companies taking responsibility for their environmental impact.
